Eastleigh
Eastleigh consists of two beats on the upper River Wylye and is found nestled on the southern outskirts of the Market Town of Warminster, just a few miles downstream from the source of the Wylye. The Upper and Lower beats share the same private car park on effectively alternate days, and with only 3 rods allowed per beat you feel like you have the long banks to yourself. Access to both beats is restricted so the fishing is very private. No wading is permitted but you are allowed in the margin to release any catch safely.
The fishing is totally wild with good catches of brown trout and grayling regularly reported on both dry fly and nymph.
Both beats are true right bank and are well tended by the club but still retain a wild feel. There is plenty of tree cover and in-river structure. Although this can provide challenging there are still plenty of more open areas to seek fish.
